DESCRIPTION
The Jessica is built around a high headboard — 140cm from the floor — over a full gas-lift ottoman base. This is the king in grey chenille, measuring W152 x L211 x H140cm.
A headboard that tall changes how a bedroom reads: it fills the wall behind the bed and gives you something solid to sit back against when you are reading. It is covered in chenille, which is soft to lean on and hard-wearing, and the frame sits on solid feet with solid boards through the base.
Gas struts take the weight of the base, so the whole mattress platform lifts in one movement and stays up on its own while you load or unload it. That gives you the full footprint of the bed as storage — spare duvets, winter bedding, suitcases, anything you would otherwise be finding room for in a wardrobe.
The base is boarded rather than slatted, which spreads the load evenly across the mattress and means nothing underneath can fall through onto the floor of the storage compartment.
