The Brooklands Sensation mattress comes with a 1500 pocket sprung foam encapsulated spring unit with cool blue memory foam and super-soft quilted knitted fabric panel. Gel was introduced as an alternative to memory foam. The layer of gel offers cooler sleeping and assists with pressure relief. The Sensation is available to try before you buy in our showroom. The Sensation 1500 is one of our best selling mattresses. It boasts 1500 pocket springs housed inside individual fabric pockets isolating each spring and resulting in a sleeping surface that follows the contours of your body offering excellent support and no roll together. The foam encapsulated Sensation has cool blue memory foam encased in a super soft quilted knitted cover. Foam encapsulated means that the pocket springs are boxed in with a high density foam giving you edge to edge support and comfort and not the rolling off sensation sometimes experienced in a non foam encapsulated mattress. Cool blue memory foam was introduced to combat the notion that memory foam mattresses are hot. The idea is that including a layer of gel the mattress will offer cooler sleeping and assist with pressure relief. The cool blue memory foam in the Sensation 1500 has the same benefits as memory foam whereby the mattress slowly adapts to your body shape to help aid pressure relief however the blue cool memory helps to disperse heat build up during sleep to aid cooler sleeping. It has flag stitched handles for ease of turning and air vents to help air circulation throughout the mattress keeping it fresh. It is also micro-quilted which means the fillings are secured at each side. Additionally with micro-quilting the advanced stitching technique used enhances the design of the fabric for a smoother finish.
